The Manhattan Bag sewing pattern

Love how the zipper goes right around the ege of the bag flap in this sewing pattern. Simple to sew bag, but stylish and with some really nice features. One of my favorite patterns, and very well written.

We’re always on the look-out for something a little different.  Something simple to sew, stylish, but with added features that make a bag special.  We think we found it in the Manhattan Bag.

The Manhattan Bag pattern includes instructions for a gorgeous shoulder bag in 2 sizes (Mamma & Miss), as well as additional instructions for a”Removable Case” for eyeglasses, sunglasses, or other items.

The Manhattan is extremely fun to make and very unique because the front flap actually zips open along its edge! Why? So you can put cool stuff in it!! I have included instructions for the aforementioned “Removable Case” and this actually sticks into the flap with (optional) velcro and is….. wait for it….. removable!! This case is perfect for your glasses or sunglasses.

Here’s what YOU can make!
