The Little Dancer Ballet Bag free barrel bag sewing pattern
|Does one of your children or a friend’s child practice ballet or dance? If so then this is a fabulous free pattern and tutorial from a most talented designer on how to make a Little Dancer Ballet Bag. As the designer says this is a sweet bag that’s designed to get feet moving.
This round barrel bag may have been designed to hold ballet gear but it’s the perfect small duffle bag for every occasion and for every child. Gym gear, swimming suit, and towel, overnight for a pajama party at a friend’s house – this bag is ideal for your little one to carry.
The Little Dancer Ballet Bag is approximately 16″ wide by 9″ high when finished which is plenty of room for dance slippers, tutus, and anything else a ballerina could need.
The bag has a full-length zipper top closure which means it’s easy to get everything in and out of the bag, especially those delicate tutus.
The sides feature custom piped pocket sides with coordinated fabrics. This gives the bag perfect quick spots for tucking away small items.
Please note that the seam allowance is ½” unless otherwise specified.
As per normal, the designer Cheryl of Sew Can Do has included some excellent step-by-step instructions with lots of color photos included to help you make a Little Dancer Ballet Bag for a very lucky girl (or boy). You can see Cheryl’s tutorial by clicking on the button below.
