Sweet Lyra Backpack sewing pattern (2 sizes + videos)
Just like its cousin the Sweetheart Saddlebag, the Sweet Lyra Backpack has curves in all the right places and its a super fun sew. Ideal for mommy and me matching backpacks, this cute pattern comes in two sizes.
This backpack is like no other in that is has a vertical zip opening in the front to allow you to reach easily into the bottom of your bag and access the super handy pockets. The tech pocket is lightly padded with a front slip pocket and handy pen holder.
And there is also a hidden zipper pocket under the flap, on the reverse of the bag.
With the Mini version of this backpack, it has a press stud closure making it a slightly quicker sew. The mini also has an inside pocket to keep things secure. It’s super cute at 80% but can still fit all of the essentials.
When you have finished making these two lovely backpacks they will measure approximately:
- Regular Sweet Lyra backpack = 13″ (33 cm) by 15″ (38 cm) by 4″ (10 cm).
- Mini Sweet Lyra backpack = 10″ (25½ cm) by 12″ (30½ cm).
