Here’s the Sew Sweet Ric Rac Tote Bag FREE sewing tutorial. With this fabulous FREE tutorial, you’ll have an awesome sturdy canvas bag, that is easy to make.
The fabric the designer (Sew Can Do) has used has really made this a very happy and bright tote bag. She wanted to make a bag that would be used a lot, but not too fiddly to make. To add a little extra thing to this bag she made it perfect with some Ric Rac!
She actually added some jumbo Ric Rac making a curvy border which we agree really does give this tote a little extra personality and whimsy.
By adding a layer of canvas both inside & out the designer has made this bag really strong, which is important for a tote bag that you want to use a lot.
There are some practical inner pockets and the bag is secured with a simple snap closure.
What is needed to make a Sew Sweet Ric Rac Tote Bag:-
- 1-yard of canvas,
- 1 1/4 yds of jumbo ric rac (1-inch wide),
- Sewing Notions (shears/rotary cutter, ruler, disappearing marker, iron & ironing board),
- One plastic snap,
- A sewing machine.
