The Ruby Handbag pdf sewing pattern will make you an awesome all-purpose handbag. The Ruby has a total of 4 pockets, an exterior slip pocket on the bag flap, two slip pockets in the lining and a zippered pocket also in the lining. To keep the bag’s contents secure the Ruby has a zip top closure.
The Ruby can be completed by an advanced beginner sewer and the final measurements are 12″ wide by 10″ high by 5.5″ deep.
What you will need to make the Ruby handbag:-
- Quilting cotton for the exterior and lining fabric
- Contrasting fabric – quilting cotton/vinyl/cork
- Sew-in foam interfacing (pellon flex foam / soft & stable)
- Fusible woven interfacing (pellon SF-101 shapeflex)
- One piece of fusible fleece (for the Flap)
- Fusible stiff stabilizer (pellon peltex 71f)
- Two zippers

- One twist lock
- Rivet (optional)
- Sewing machine and basic sewing supplies
