Quilted Accordion Pouch FREE instructions

This beautiful Quilted Accordion Pouch expands out and gives you five pockets to keep your jewelry, small lingerie items, make-up, or other special trinkets. The AccordianPouch is excellent for travel since it keeps items tangle-free in their own compartments, but closes up into a space-saving 5” by 7” size to more easily pack in a suitcase or carry-on.

The outside of the pouch is a pretty quilting weight cotton, while the inside is polyurethane laminate (PUL), which has a handy wipe-clean surface. All the edges are bound for a smooth finish. A pre-made satin binding was used, but any traditional binding could work. A layer of batting between the inner and outer fabrics pads the pockets so you can keep delicate items safe.

The flap is secured with a pretty snap, which is recommended for this particular pouch, however, another option would be a button and buttonhole.

Although you can purchase new quilting weight cotton, the cuts are small enough to make the project a good ScrapBusters option. You can make yourself your own Quilted Accordion Pouch, but they also make a wonderful gift for friends or family.

When closed, the cuts on the Accordion Pouch are all simple rectangles, so you can re-size up or down should you want a mini or a maxi version.
