It’s an easy-to-make drawstring bag pattern, made with lining, no visible raw edges, no zipper, no magnetic snap, one slip pocket, and a big fat bottom. And of course, it closes via a drawstring and has handles for hand carry.
This little bag doesn’t require any designer fabric or contrast fabric or color blocking. The shape of the bag when closed is what makes this bag so lovely. It’s very easy to make too!

When you have finished making yourself a Poofy Drawstring Bag it will measure approximately 8″ (20.3 cm) high, with a 13.75″ (35 cm) bag width when the drawstring is not drawn, and a 5″ (12.7 cm) bag width when the drawstring is drawn.
What you will need to make a Poofy Drawstring Bag:-
- 3/4 yard/meter of exterior fabric,
- 3/4 yard/meter of lining fabric,
- 1.5 yard/meter of fusible interfacing,
- 62″(157.5cm) length of drawstring/cords,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
