Padded Satchel Messenger Bag FREE sewing pattern
With this FREE pattern and tutorial, you can make this modern satchel-style shoulder bag. It’s ideal for every-day use, with the main body and outer pockets all being padded, which gives you a safe place to store your phone and tablet. The adjustable shoulder strap is long enough to wear across your body.
No Velcro fastenings were used, as the pocket flap stays shut on its own, as does the large flap closure. However, instructions have been included for adding Velcro if you prefer to do so. Alternatively, you could install magnetic snaps during the bag construction or use some sew-on snaps.
The approximate size of the finished bag is 25cm by 27cm by 6cm.
We love how soft and padded this bag is, and the way the stitching really emphasizes that.
