Don’t fancy the grommets on the Original Moby Hobo bag pattern? No problem, with VERSION 2 of the Moby Slouchy Hobo Bag you get all the same great features of the ORIGINAL bag, but without the hassle of inserting the grommets.
Both versions of the bag can be made from various fabric mediums such as quilting cotton, leather, vinyl and cork fabric. The patterns feature a split lining that has a compartment on both sides with a zippered pocket in the center and soft pretty pleats. Add the crossbody strap and they make the perfect day bag out on the town!
Skill level:
The designer rates her original pattern as suitable for an advanced sewer. You’ll need to know how to install grommets, rivets and zippers. Version 2 is suitable for an advanced beginner sewer.
Sizing info:
When you make yourself an original Moby Slouchy Hobo Bag it will measure approximately 19″ wide by 11 1/2″ high by 6″ deep. If you make VERSION 2 it will measure approximately 17″ wide by 12 1/2″ high by 6″ deep.
For the exterior fabrics, the designer recommends using fabric that is pliable and pleats easily.
