Kailey Grocery Bag Free Pattern
If you want to make yourself a strong, attractive and reusable grocery bag then here is a very simple design that any sewer can tackle.
As a huge bonus, the designer of the Kailey Grocery Bag digital pattern has made her pattern free. It has been made as a great project for beginners that is easy to make and yet practical.
The Kailey Grocery Bag is perfect for trips to the grocery store. Also, you can roll the bag into a small bundle, so it can be easily held or stored in your purse when it is empty.
If you wish you can also choose to make the bag without the handle, which will mean it will look a little like a paper grocery bag, however, it will not rip and is eco-friendly.
When you have finished making the Kailey Grocery Bag it will measure 13″ wide by 19″ high by 5 1/2″ deep.
What you will need to make the Kailey Grocery Bag
- 1-yard of 44″ wide heavyweight home decorator or quilting weight cotton for the exterior fabric
- 1-yard of 44″ wide heavyweight home decorator or quilting weight cotton for the lining
- 1-yard of 44″ wide lightweight fusible interfacing
- 1 1/8″ wide by 30″ high webbing strap
- One 18 mm magnetic snap ((optional)
- One 1/2″ button to close the bag
- One 1″ button to close the rolled bag
- 8 1/2″ length of elastic band
- Basic sewing supplies
- A sewing machine.
