How to make a Curve Top Makeup Bag free pattern
Every girl needs a makeup bag, don’t they? The designer of this one, Diana from Sew Very Crafty, needed a new one desperately as her old one was worn out. So instead of buying one because she is a fabulous pattern designer, Diana designed one. And what is great for all of us is she gave us all her pattern and step-by-step tutorial for free. What a lovely lady Diana is.
This is a Curve Top makeup bag and as the name suggests it has a nice curved top to fit everything you will need. The pattern for this project is simple to construct like most things on Sew Very Crafty but the results are just adorable.
If you are a beginner sewer with the basics in sewing skills then this is a great little project for you. Just follow the detailed step-by-step instructions and you will be able to create your own Curve Top Makeup Bag.
When the designer made her bag she used quilting cotton for her project. You could use the same and the great thing about quilting cotton is it comes in so many colors and patterns. Three different fabrics were used to make this bag but you could use two or even one if you like.
What you will need to make your very own Curve Top Makeup Bag:
- A fat quarter or remnant of each of three fabrics,
- ¼ yard of Pellon 808 interfacing,
- ¼ yard of fusible fleece,
- One 9″ zipper,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
