This Heart Zipper Pouch sewing pattern is the perfect beginner-friendly pattern. We simply LOVE the heart design of this cute zipper pouch.
The designer, Justyna T Handmade, has made this pattern easy to sew for beginners as long as you take a little care. This uses small pieces of fabric so it’s an ideal scrap buster project where you have precious fabrics, but only small pieces left. Now you can sew them together to make the heart shape on the front of this pouch and get another project out of those fabric pieces that would otherwise be too small.
The pretty heart design on the front of this zipper pouch makes it ideal for a gift (Valentines of course but any other occasion too), or just so cute to use at home or in your main purse for storing small items. Use it to carry your cosmetics or sanitary items in your everyday purse, or keep it on your dresser with items you like to keep tidy and on hand.

When you make your own Heart Zipper Pouch it will measure approximately 7.5″ wide by 5″ tall.

- Heart – Three 2.5” by 2.5” Pink Scraps – Quilting Cotton,
- Body of Pouch – ½ of Fat Quarter – Quilting Cotton,
- Lining – 12” by 9” Quilting Cotton,
- Interfacing – 12” by 9” Fusible Fleece,
- Zipper – 9” of #3 Zipper Tape & one #3 Zipper Pull,
- Thread- Polyester Thread,
- Embellishment – 2’ of Embroidery Thread or Yarn & Small Tassel / Ribbon,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
