What you will need to make a Half Round Hanging Basket

  •  yard of 44″+ wide quilting weight cotton for the exterior
  • ½ yard of 44”+ wide mid-weight canvas or similar for the upper band, lining, and hanging panel
  •  yard of 20”+ wide lightweight fusible interfacing
  • ¼ yard of 20″+ wide fusible foam
  • ¼ yard or scrap of 20”+ wide mid-weight fusible interfacing – you need a minimum 8” x 4” rectangle from which to cut the pattern
  • A small sheet of plastic canvas
  • ONE ¾” wooden dowel approximately 8″ long.
  • 1 yard of soft rope or similar for hanging
  • All purpose thread to match fabric
  • See-through ruler – see quilting rulers above
  • Fabric pen or pencil – we love the Frixion pens
  • Basic sewing supplies
  • Rotary cutter and mat
  • Sewing machine with a standard presser foot
  • Walking or Even Feed foot, or engage your machine’s fabric feeding system – recommended.
