Fabric Flower Pots Storage Baskets FREE sewing pattern
This is the Fabric Flower Pots FREE sewing pattern from the designer Love to Color My World and shared on the therm.o.web blog.
This is a great tutorial and pattern showing you how to make these awesome looking Fabric Flower Pots. They’re designed to fit around plant pots to give them some style and color!
The designer says her pots stitch up so quickly and they’d be a perfect Mother’s Day gift! Or a gift for a friend or teacher too! Not to mention a great excuse to purchase some new spring blooms!
All you have to do now is pick some great looking fabric maybe with a garden or flower feel and why not do what the designer did and add some Extra Firm Craft Fusible Interfacing to give the flower pots body, and then added a couple coats of Liquid Vinyl so when you water the plants you don’t have to worry about the fabrics.
The Liquid Vinyl is such a great idea for treating fabrics and making them waterproof. In this case for flower pots, but it could also work great for cosmetics bags or lunch bags to make them easier to just wipe clean, when there might be spills. You can probably come up with other ideas too.
