Dog Carrier sewing pattern
Well, this is a first for us at Sew Modern Bags. We love to share ideas and patterns for bags, baskets, containers, storage, and we still think this one qualifies as a ‘bag’. We’ve found you all a fabulous Dog Carrier sewing pattern. The brilliant designer who has in excess of 30 years of sewing experience designed this bag for her own small dog.
The designers own dog is 5 lb in weight but this carrier can carry a dog up to 10 lb in weight. The inside dimensions of the carrier are 8″ by 10”.
This project also features a fluffy removable pillow and an attached leash to clip onto your dogs collar for extra security. The straps have been made wide and fleece-lined for your comfort.
There are two exterior pockets that can be customized to carry anything you wish from your cell phone to a collapsible water bowl or a supply of poop bags.
The designer says that there are so many fabrics that will work well with this carrier. She has made them with denim, duck cloth, and micro suede. She uses fleece options for the lining and coordinating quilting cotton for the trim.
The downloadable pattern includes computer-generated pattern pieces and step-by-step instructions with over 50 photographs. The designer has prepared the instructions in such a way that she will hold your hand the entire way making sure your project has a professional finish. The designer says her project is even possible for a novice sewer.
