It’s convenient to open and close the zipper on the front and to carry with the top handle. The designer shows you how to make the two sizes of this pouch.

Seam allowances are 3/8″ unless otherwise specified.
The finished measurements of each of the bags are approximately:
- 6⅞″ (17.5 cm) wide by 4¾″ (12 cm) high by 1″ (2.5 cm) deep.
- 8⅞″ (22.5 cm) wide by 6⅛″ (15.5 cm) high by 1″ (2.5 cm) deep.
What’s needed to make these DIY Rectangle Pouches:
- Quilting Cotton for the outer layer,
- Quilting Cotton for the liner,
- One 8″ (20 cm) zipper,
- Mid-weight woven fusible interfacing (Pellon SF-101 Shape Flex’ or ‘Vilene G700’)
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
NOTE – there is no sewing pattern download for this bag. The instructions are delivered by way of the video tutorial where you are shown what fabric etc you need to cut for this design.
