Denver Double Zip Bag (Small Zipper Handbag) sewing pattern

The Denver Double Zip Bag is basically a small zipper handbag, which has a great pattern for the beginner bag maker.
It’s designed perfectly for a night on the town when you want to have room for your phone, cards, money, keys, and maybe a bit of makeup and some small bits and pieces. It’s such a quick and fun bag to sew.
It has two big zippered compartments, both fully lined while the main compartment also has a cardholder for three cards, a lip balm and money slip pocket and a slip pocket for a cell phone. But the pockets can be customized to fit your needs.
The finished bag is approximately 8″ wide by 5″ tall by 1″ wide at the bottom.

What is needed to make the Denver Double Zipper Bag:-
- One Fat Quarter (18” x 22”) quilting cotton/vinyl/faux leather exterior fabric.
- One Fat Quarter (18” x 22”) quilting cotton lining fabric.
- 4 x 18” scrap of contrast fabric for the strap.
- 15″ x 10” Mid-weight fusible interfacing.
- 0.8 Yard of lightweight fusible interfacing such as Pellon SF101 Shape-Flex.
- Two ½” D-rings. – check our resources page for recommended hardware suppliers.
- Two ½” Swivel snap hooks.
- One 8” Zipper.
- One 9” Zipper.
- Wonder Clips or similar.
- Rotary cutter, quilting ruler.
- Basic sewing supplies and a sewing machine.
