Charlotte Tote Bag and Crossbody Purse pattern combo
The designer of the Charlotte Tote Bag digital pattern also designed another bag, a zippered pouch, to go together with the Charlotte Tote Bag. So when you buy one pattern you get the other as a bonus. There really are TWO bags in this pattern for just one price!!
The Charlotte Tote Bag with zippered pouch is a great travel companion or everyday work bag and gives you maximum organization. The zippered pouch slips inside the large structured tote, however, the pouch can also be carried separately as a crossbody bag. This combination makes it perfect when you travel and need to carry many items in the plane or car but you can separate them later and carry just the smaller bag and be hands-free.
The bags both have some great features. Sturdy construction and thick interfacing make them both strong. The tote has been designed with four large pockets inside, while the zippered pouch has an adjustable strap and swivel hooks.

The designer has included many tips in making the bags better and she says that her project is suitable for beginner sewers with some experience.

When you have finished making the two bags they will measure approximately:
- Finished Tote = 16″ wide by 11″ high by 6″ deep.
- Finished zippered pouch = 10½” wide by 5″ high by 3″ deep.
The crossbody bag with the zipper top is designed to fit perfectly inside the tote bag. So you can use it to keep things together and organised inside the larger bag. This is an ideal combo for taking to the shops. One the way out, carry your tote with the smaller purse inside. When you have done your shopping you can separate the bags, wear the crossbody hands free over your shoulder and use the tote to carry your shopping!
