If you are looking for a great wallet project for a confident beginner sewer looking to sew something really special, then you have found it. This is a quick and fairly easy project that requires minimal materials where you will end up with a perfect everyday wallet. Beginners be aware that neat straight stitching will give you the best result with this pattern. You’ll need to make the exterior from a non-fraying fabric.
The Architect Ladies Wallet is a slim wallet that packs plenty of space for all your bits and pieces, and has the following excellent features:
- Twelve credit card slots,
- One clear ID holder,
- Two slip pockets,
- A zippered coin pocket,
- And a snap closure.
Sizing info:
When you have finished making your very own Architect Ladies Wallet it will measure approximately 8″ wide by 4¼” tall.
What you will need to make the Architect Ladies Wallet:
- A piece of non-fraying fabric that measures approximately 13″ by 9″ such as WPC (waterproof canvas), Cork, Vinyl, or Faux Leather (or even felt) for the exterior of the wallet,
- A ¼ yard approximately of quilting cotton or WPC, for the wallet lining and pocket lining,
- A piece of SF101 interfacing of approximately 12″ by 9″, or other lightweight interfacing, for the wallet lining,
- A ¼ yard approximately for the interior of the wallet,
- A scrap of clear vinyl,
- A size 20 or similar metal snap (or use a magnetic snap),
- One 8″ #3 zipper or use 7½” of #3 zipper tape,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
