very sad for pattern makers who are small in size but giants in our hearts
Sew Modern Bags
We feel the same Gail. So sad to see small pattern designers ‘struck off’ with such little warning.
Janet Miller
Have you looked into sewingsupport.com? I hate that Craftsy it doing this to all of us. Please don’t give up.
Sew Modern Bags
I think they will find themselves in the same position, because any patterns on Craftsy they have linked to will disappear too. But thanks for the suggestion, it’s a great site.

This stinks. I can understand having to reorganize, etc but I do not think the way they did this is good. I can’t see how it could have hurt them if they had preannounced this and given the vendors some warning. I think this is a big slap in the face to all of us “disposables” and I will no longer deal with Craftsy because of their unkind actions.

It was terribly short notice, and over Christmas too!

Sometimes when one door closes another opens. I am sure that this will motivate you and often times things work you better with another associate. Best of Luck.

Like everyone else I am sad to see the changes- I find it is good to be able to have choices- Not good at all!!!!

It’s what they say big fish eat little fish the big fish forget that the little needs to survive as well I will no longer deal with craftsy they need to treat people with decency and a bit of respect
Sew Modern Bags
They’ve certainly changed a lot since they were bought out. Lost some of that genuine craft communnity feel and now it’s more impersonal and business-like.

I think Craftsy is a little too big for it’s britches since the inception of “BluePrint” which I believe is owned in part by NBC Universal. To do that to all those designers is a disgusting way to treat them after all the traffic they’ve supplied to Craftsy. The phrase “Be Kind” obviously wasn’t in their vocabulary at Craftsy!!
Sheri Moyer
I will just drop my blue print subscription and go back to other platforms for patterns and class’s, I am done with Craftsy!!!
Marie
I’m bummed that Craftsy dumped everyone, but if you tell me how it worked, I’ll have my son build a replacement site. He’s a programmer!?and can build anything! I’m into free patterns… let’s do this! Oh- my son just said “sure, let’s do it”
Sew Modern Bags
That would be fantastic. There are some other sites out there where people can list patterns, but none so popular as Craftsy by a long way, and the fees they charge are pretty expensive. Anywhere from 15% to 50% of the pattern income. Running a website is pretty expensive. But good luck, if you do start one, please let us all know.

Most times change is uncomfortable but a little advance warning would have been appreciated by all. The word “incompetent” comes to mind.
I was one of the “lucky” sellers. Of my 25+ patterns, ONE was spared. It was one of my 2 free patterns. So after 6 years of promoting myself and linking to Craftsy, I have to reroute everyone to my Etsy shop.

What are you going to do about the free patterns Shannon? Any ideas for where to put them, or will they just not be available any more?
Shonni
When doing other things and they had group on fb, aa whole bunch left and started a communal group to be able to continue, but hope you all don’t do that as lots of us no longer use fb.
A blog even would be good as we could purchase directly or free from each on,
Just back into sewing and have purchased and free pattens as starters to relearn with and a huge thanks to all that did this
Valerie
In November last year Craftsy advised that they would no longer sell to purchasers from certain countries. I live in South Africa and now cannot purchase from them. There was no advance warning. Perhaps it will work to your advantage as these buyers will be able to purchase direct from you. Maybe a silver lining?

So sad! I just learned how to sew and quilt last year thanks to all those who provided patterns and tutorials!
I’m not quite sure when this video was created, but Pellon has as awesome flexible foam interfacing called Pellon Flex Foam which comes with either a 1-sided, or 2-sided iron-on surface. You showcased headliner which is only dry cleanable. The Flex Foam is washable, with a type of tricot on both sides, making it a dream to work with. You can roll it up, or squish it, and it pops back into shape, making it a wonderful choice for purses or wallets. I love it!
Well, what do you know … You CAN teach an old dog new tricks ? !! Thank you Debby, for taking the time to make this Very Informative video. I did not know most of the types of interface, especially ones for bag making (which I am just now ,after 50 yrs, getting into). Your experience has saved not only money and time, but sanity as well. WELL DONE,dear, well done. Blessings and spontaneous hugs , Marilyn ?
This is a really informative tutorial without all the unnecessary chat. It is a shame she Has left the community, I hope she is now much better Thankyou Deby

Hi! I just wanted to let you know that The Senza Tote Bag link is not working.

What happened to the form for the free poster?
I like to have the free poster, thanx.
The link for the Senza Tote is broken or no longer exists. I tried to find it on google and couldn’t either 🙁 I think it’s pattern #39
