Mod Log Cabin Tote Bag FREE sewing pattern

This is the Mod Log Cabin Tote Bag which is a FREE tote bag sewing pattern with a quilting twist to it.

This is your chance to use/try/learn quilt-as-you-go techniques while making a beautiful bag! This medium-sized Tote Bag is absolutely perfect for using as a purse or for carrying books, projects, or class materials. Easy bag construction methods make assembling this Tote Bag a breeze once the quilt-as-you-go is done.

The talented and generous designer, Sew Can She, has produced an excellent step by step tutorial blog post with lots of helpful tips and photos. Cutting sizes are given for each piece of fabric so you don’t need to download any pattern templates to sew this bag. Ideal for those that don’t have a printer.

The designer used a foam stabilizer as the quilt-as-you-go foundation, so the bag will have a nice sturdy shape that stands on its own.

The bag straps have been embellished with lines of topstitching. A contrasting thread was used to really make it stand out!
