Here is a very cute and bright messenger bag that boys or girls will love. The PDF downloadable pattern and instructions for this bag/purse are both detailed and easy to follow and can be made by a beginner bag sewer.
You can make the bag using felt or with printed fabric and you can also choose to close the flap of the bag using a magnetic snap or velcro.
To simplify the bag even further you can also substitute the shoulder strap with a bag ribbon that is quicker to sew.
