Cute… check! Useful… check! Easy… check! I think these Fish Laundry Bags are a must-make!
Caroline says she listened to her readers when designing this project, who wanted this fish shaped drawstring bag to have 2 pattern pieces for lots of opportunities for creativity. On one fish, she used Hex Mesh fabric on the bottom portion.
On the all-fabric bags she added just a touch of embellishment. You could topstitch some lines, but she decided to sew simple narrow pintucks with contrasting thread instead. Wouldn’t these look sensational in nautical and beachy fabrics, or something that resembled scales.
Sizing / Finished Measurements:
Approximately 26” x 18”
1 yard of fabric (1 or 2 different kinds) (You can buy the MESH here) ribbon or twill tape may be used for the ties (optional) felt scraps for the eye
