Carry along sewing case – FREE pattern
|If you have ever wanted to make yourself a sewing case for holding your sewing, quilting and crafting supplies then we have a great FREE pattern for you here.
This Carry Along Sewing Case is designed to carry lots of your essential items. It has a large zipper which allows you access to the main part of the case and it also comes with both internal and external zippered pockets.
When finished the case measures approximately 3″ by 9″ by 12 1/2″. It’s ideal for your sewing or crafting supplies, cosmetics, stationary, medical supplies – anything! Why not adapt and customise the inside of the case to suit what you plan to carry.
If you’ve not sewn this sort of bag before, there are some interesting bag sewing techniques you can learn from making up this pattern, so do give it a try.
What you will need to make the Carry Along Sewing Case
- A 1/2 yard each of fabrics A, B and D
- A 1/4 yard piece of fabric C
- A 1/3 yard of fabric for binding
- A 1/2 yard of Fusible Featherweight Interfacing
- A 1/2 yard of Fusible Fleece
- One 30” zipper
- Two 12” zippers
- Basic sewing supplies
- A sewing machine.
