Tablet sleeve FREE sewing pattern

If you have an iPad Air, or any tablet measuring approximately 10″ by 7″, then here’s an awesome FREE pattern to make a padded cover for it.

Whether you keep your tablet at home or take it out and about, at school or the office, it can be prone to scratches, getting grubby, or even spilled drinks, etc! Protect your investment with a padded cover – and make it personal in a fabric you love!

This is a very quick and easy project that will give your expensive iPad some extra protection. This sleeve is designed to fit any tablet measuring approximately 10″ by 7″, and approximately 1/2″ thick.  If your tablet is a different size, then this pattern is also really simple to adapt to fit a tablet type tech device of any size.

What you will need to make the Tablet Sleeve for an iPad Air:-

In the example shown, home decor weight fabric was used and it was decided not to use any sort of fusible interfacing.  If you decide to choose quilting weight cotton, then it is recommended you use a lightweight fusible interfacing to the wrong side of your outer fabrics. As an extra tip, it is a very good idea to use a heavy-duty denim or jeans needle, as you will be sewing together multiple thick layers.  It also may be advisable to use your walking foot if you have one.

You could also decide to use a fusible fleece on the reverse side of your fabrics in place of the stiff interfacing if you prefer.
