The Halo Sling Bag is a uniquely styled sewing pattern designed for novice sewers. If you have wondered about sewing a handbag then wonder no more. Using the Halo pattern you can create a beautifully styled structured handbag to be proud of even if you have NEVER made a handbag before!
The Halo is a deceptively simple bag to sew, with a clean simple silhouette this bag lends itself to bold fabrics or decoration of any kind. Halo has a zipper closure for security and internally she has a large zippered pocket and a double slip pocket as well as a perfectly fitted lining. This pattern has been designed to sew using domestic machines with layers kept to the bare minimum at all times.
Halo First Steps has been designed to sew in quilting weight cotton but can also be sewn in faux leather, cork leather, or real leather according to yours and your machines capabilities.
The Halo Step Up Supplement is designed to work alongside the First Steps pattern to raise the bar for the more experienced or adventurous sewer. The Step Up version of Halo should be sewn in either faux leather or cork (or real leather). The Step Up supplement includes the unique cutwork and weave design on the front of the sample bags, a fabulous triple overlay faux leather/cork leather exterior zipper pocket, and alternative strap connectors. Use the weaving design in full or in part to give your Halo bag the designer edge. Full printable templates for the additional features and for the cutwork and weave design.

The Halo First Steps pattern is the first in a series of patterns aimed at absolute beginners, the patterns are tested by a team of new bag makers and novices to ensure that they are indeed achievable. Each First Steps pattern will also have an optional Step Up Supplement to accommodate the more advanced sewer.

Pattern:
The pattern contains thirty-one full-colour pages of instructions, photos and diagrams to guide you through the process, with helpful hints and tips throughout. Full-sized pattern pieces to be printed on your domestic home printer and a comprehensive cutting table for those who prefer to cut from measurements. Also included is a comprehensive video tutorial so you have your own sewing teacher in your sewing space with you as you sew.
