The Retro-Tec Sling Bag/Backpack is a fully illustrated sewing pattern, complete with full scale templates, for a practical and stylish sling bag or backpack - a larger, Laptop-friendly version of the designer's popular Retro Style Sling Bag.
Perfect for customizing to create your own version! Instructions are given for making the bag either as a single strap Sling Bag, OR as a conventional double-strap backpack. Both versions will fit most 13" laptops, as well as a host of other items.
Really practical and on-trend, this stylish bag has lots of great features that make it a great gift for family and friends.

- Exterior has three pockets - one slip pocket at front, and two zipper pockets (one on back for secure items).
- Interior has three pockets - one laptop pocket - fits most 13" laptops -maximum laptop size 12½" by 9½". One internal zipper pocket that fits an iPad, and one pen pocket.
- Fully lined with internal bound seams that give a totally professional, beautiful finish.

Skill Level:
Intermediate/Advanced : good experience of bag making techniques, including sewing large items, curved seams, seam binding and sewing multiple layers. Please note this is not a beginner bag pattern.

10¾" wide by 18" high by 4" deep. The adjustable backpack straps measure 26" to 36".

You will receive three digital files:-
- A pattern instructions booklet with forty pages of clear, easy to follow step-by-step instructions, with color photos illustrating how to make every element of this bag.
- A full set of professional computer-drawn templates, with printing instructions, and labels to attach to your pieces. Simply print at home, cut out, and assemble the templates yourself.
- An AO file of the templates is also included in this purchase, so if you don't like pasting pages together, you can take this file to your local print shop to be printed.
