This is the Mug Carrier sewing pattern which is made to fit around a 16-ounce refillable mug that many gas stations, convenience stores, dining locations, and many theme parks and resorts sell. It can also hold water/juice/power drinks bottles of the same or similar size.

This carrier can be made of quilting cotton, waterproof canvas, or even nylon pack cloth. It can be easily customized for the recipient.

The strap length is for an average adult but can easily be made to fit a child or an extra-large adult. The strap is also adjustable. It wraps quickly and easily around the mug and handle.

There is a convenient pocket with a tab to close– just the right size for a small snack, or your resort key card/tickets. The nylon webbing strap is a generous 49.5 inches long and is adjustable to fit adults and children. Lock the lid closed with the tab that comes over the top of the mug “locking” the sliding lid in place. The mug will still stand up on any flat surface in the carrier.

The mug, and the carrier, fit cup holders for the car too! Keep using your mug carrier when you return home for sporting events, picnics, school lunches, etc.

How about heading out to the parks in the morning and you really want that mug of coffee to take with you but it is awkward to carry with the kids in hand and other things you have to carry. NOW you can fill the mug, lock the lid, and carry your mug with hands-free ease! Remember to leave an inch or two of space when filling with hot liquids to avoid any chance of it leaking out as you walk.

You know how often your kids need a drink in the hot sun, walking around all day. Wouldn’t it be nice to fill up the mugs at the resort and carry them easily through the day, refilling with water when necessary? FINALLY, you can! Don’t go through the day with your fists full of mug handles– get these instead!

Why not get one for everyone in the family? That way if you all have the same design mug you can still tell them apart with the different carriers you make.

Fabric mug or bottle carriers can be washed as needed, and treated with Scotch Guard to prevent most stains. The pack cloth carriers are already stain, scuff, mold, and tear-resistant.
