This is a FREE sewing pattern with a video tutorial for an Easy Zipper Pouch.
The easy zipper pouch is a fantastic scrap busting project and an excellent beginner-friendly pattern. It is fully lined and features a top zipper closure, a front slip pocket, and a flat bottom.
The pattern includes three pouch sizes: small, medium, and large, so you can organize your items with ease!

When you have finished making yourself an Easy Zipper Pouch it will measure approximately (height/width/depth):-
- Small = 4″ (10 cm) by 6 ⅜” (16 cm) by 2″ (5 cm).
- Medium = 5 ½” (14 cm) by 8″ (20 cm) by 2 ⅜” (6 cm).
- Large = 7″ (18 cm) by 9 ½” (24 cm) by 3″ (8 cm).

What you will need to make an Easy Zipper Pouch:-
- Please note that this fabric recommendation is based on the large size zipper pouch.
- 31 ½” (80 cm) by 24″ (60 cm) of external fabric (quilting cotton, canvas, cork, vinyl, wax cotton, etc.),
- 31 ½” (80 cm) by 24″ (60 cm) of lining fabric (quilting cotton, waterproof canvas, etc.),
- 27 ½” (70 cm) by 10″ (25 cm) of heavyweight stabilizer such as Fast 2 Fuse heavy, foam stabilizer, fusible fleece, Decovil light, etc. (apply only if you prefer a sturdy pouch),
- 45 ½” (115 cm) by 24″ (60 cm) of lightweight fusible interfacing such as Stayflex, SF101, Wovenfuse, G700 etc,
- One 10″ (25 cm) #5 Zipper,
- ¼” Double-sided tape (optional),
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
