DIY Fish Laundry Bag FREE sewing pattern for kids

At last! Now my kids are happy to pick up their laundry and put it in these fishy laundry bags I made them. Love this pattern. Look great in a fishy print too, but net works well. Could be a swim bag too?

Cute… check! Useful… check! Easy… check! I think these Fish Laundry Bags are a must-make!

Caroline says she listened to her readers when designing this project, who wanted this fish shaped drawstring bag to have 2 pattern pieces for lots of opportunities for creativity. On one fish, she used Hex Mesh fabric on the bottom portion.

On the all-fabric bags she added just a touch of embellishment. You could topstitch some lines, but she decided to sew simple narrow pintucks with contrasting thread instead. Wouldn’t these look sensational in nautical and beachy fabrics, or something that resembled scales.
