Fabric strip weaving for bag making – video

Videos for how to make woven strip panels for use in bag making. These are fully reversible, finished on both sides, and already stabilized. I love the ombre effect.

You know, there are only so many ways you can sew a bag. Sometimes to do something a little be different you don’t always need a new pattern, you might just need a new bag-making technique or material.

We’ve just run across these two videos from Aunties Two patterns (strange name!). How about making your own double-sided woven fabric panels?  We really love the ombre effect you can get with these strips.

You don’t have to just use this technique for the Aunties Two patterns, you could use it to create panels or fabric for use in any of your sewing projects, either to complete the whole bag, or just as a featured panel. We love the look of the woven strips, that they are already padded so are nice and sturdy, and that the resulting panel is fully reversible.

Ideal for jelly roll strips or even shorter fabric scraps that you otherwise wouldn’t know what to do with.
