The Asteria Clutch has a simple open interior, with a recessed zipper top. An optional wristlet attaches to the zipper pull with a keychain ring. The size of The Asteria is perfect for your essentials, to fit your keys, phone, and money!
This wristlet is designed for a confident beginner sewist and features a simple design with many color photos to facilitate easy learning. Because of the pleats, it looks great in a solid as well as interesting in a printed fabric. You could also make a really posh one in a satin or silk for an evening bag.
Finished size
When you finish making yourself an Asteria Clutch Bag it will measure approximately 8½” (21.5 cm) wide at the top, 10″ (25.5 cm) wide at the bottom, 5½” (14 cm) high and 2″ (5 cm) deep.
What you will need to make an Asteria Clutch Bag:
- ½ yard of main fabric (quilters cotton),
- ¼ yard or fat quarter of lining fabric,
- Lightweight or mid-weight fusible (or sew-in) interfacing such as Pellon sf101 or 931td,
- One 8″ or longer nylon zipper,
- One split-ring/keychain ring,
- Basic sewing supplies,
- A sewing machine.
